In most cases we will coordinate our schedules so that we can conduct the evaluation in one session as a team, for the convenience of the student and family. Because of the individualized level of service we provide, we recommend scheduling well in advance of the student’s 18 birthday. For legal purposes, the evaluation can be conducted up to six months (180 days) before turning 18.
During the pandemic, we are conducting all evaluations on Zoom, rather than in our office or in the child's school or home. The Zoom platform allows us to interview parents, interview the student or conduct an observation, as well as have discussion with other professionals who work with the student. A Zoom invitation will be sent prior to the appointment.
